Celebrating Students Who Make a Difference in Our Community

High School Hero

Recognizing Students with a $1,500 Scholarship

At EdFed, we proudly celebrate the extraordinary high school students who go above and beyond to give back to our community through volunteerism. From serving food at local food banks to joining beach clean-ups and assisting at nursing homes, these students have made a lasting impact through their dedication to service.

Throughout the 2024/2025 school year, we received an overwhelming response from those eager to recognize these remarkable young change-makers. Thanks to your nominations, we were able to award $13,500 in scholarships to students who exemplified the spirit of giving.

As the nomination period for the 2024/2025 school year closes, we sincerely thank everyone who participated. Your enthusiasm and support have helped shine a spotlight on these outstanding students.

All scholarship recipients were selected randomly from a pool of qualified nominations, and their names were announced live on HITS 97.3 FM by Morning Radio Host Jade Alexander each month.

The selected recipients were honored with a special celebration at their school hosted by Jade Alexander and EdFed's mascot, Eddy the Owl.

We look forward to celebrating remarkable students who make a difference in their communities when the High School Hero Scholarship resumes at the start of the 2025/2026 school year. Thank you for being part of this incredible initiative—we cannot wait to do it again!

Stay tuned for updates, and congratulations once more to all our High School Heroes.
